September was one of those busy months for everyone. This is what I believe. As long as I'm around this site (which I've enjoyed since I joined) will not die. Yes, sometimes our posts are few and for between. We haven't heard from Gary, T. Lynn or Sachiko for a long time. I'm sure they've just gotten busy with other things in their lives.
For those who view this site (even if you don't post) I wanted to say my new book is now a sponsor book on Karlene Browning's newLDSfiction site for October. You should check out the site to see how could win a free copy of my book. Culpability and Absolution by Joshua Berry (pen name.)
I sure hope all is well with our small circle of friends.

Hi Charlie (and anyone else who might read this). I'm glad to see you're alive and well. I'm anxious to read your book. I'm going to go to Karlene's site. She's another one who used to post here.
As for me, I've completely revised my query letter (again) but this time with the help of my daughter. She's a far better writer than I. She's a busy gal, being mother, provider, home maker, and college student, but she's also writing her own novel. God bless her. Her help has been invaluable. I'm about ready to start sending it out again.
I hope the others who used to be here will return.

Paul, I hope your new query gets desired results. My wife and I are going to Boise this coming weekend to a family wedding. One of my cousin's daughter is getting married in the Boise temple. We're just going to a reception later in the evening. Would like to attend the endowment, but can't make it in time. It is also our 30th anniversary later this month. My wife and I were married in the Idaho Falls temple in Oct. 1983.

Hi Charlie,
Hope you had a wonderful anniversary. I'm anticipating our 39th next April and are hoping to either take an Alaska cruze or a tour if Italy where my wife's ancesters lived. I'm rooting for the tour of Italy, but would like it to extend into the rest of Europe so I can show her where I served in the Air Force in Germany.
As for querying my novel, now the agents are asking for my synopsis. Sheesh! So now I have to get that up to date and edited. So, I sent it to my daughter and to my critique group. I probably won't be able to send it out until next month after everyone tears it apart. Wish me luck.

Had a great time in Boise area last weekend. Visited with family. Saw some cousins I'd not seen in several years. Wonderful to see all of them.
I would like to go on a cruise, Paul, but it isn't something my wife desires so probably won't happen. We like to go on drives, especially through the country and just pick a small café or restaurant for lunch along the way. We're just simple folks.
I have stopped writing for awhile. No juices flowing right now. Hope your queries are going well, Paul.

Your idea of going on drives is a lot like what my wife and I love to do. We're pretty simple too. But some of our Ward members have gone on cruizes and now she's envious, LOL.
I hope your juices will resume flowing soon. Sometimes I feel that way but when I re-read my work in progress the juices reignite.
I'm almost ready to resume querying. My synopsis is posted for critique. As soon as I get all the comments back I'm going to resume in earnest.

Hi Charlie,
I sent out 5 queries last week. No response yet, but it takes some time. They all say, if you don't hear from us in 6 weeks assume its a rejection. I figure I have 5 weeks left to hear from them. So, here's to not holding my breath.
Have your juices up and flowing yet? Don't let it go for too long.

Good luck with the queries, Paul. I admire your drive. Don't give up. Today is my wife and I's 30th anniversary. I will take her to dinner later. I got her flowers earlier. She had to work today. I went to the temple to do an endowment.
I haven't resumed writing, but I'm thinking of some ideas for moving forward on my current ms.

No word yet, but I don't expect any this soon. They all say, if you don't hear back from us in 6 weeks assume its a rejection, so I'm not holding my breath. I'm too used to getting rejections. I think if I ever got a positive response I'd pass out on the spot, LOL.
Are you coming down for the Boise State/BYU game tomorrow? I hear a lot of Idaho fans are coming. It ought to be a good game.

Sorry if you are a Boise fan. BYU did them in 37 to 20.
Got one rejection so far, but he wasn't an agent I particularly wanted anyway. I only rated him a 5 on a scale of 10.
