Satan is the author of all evil, Gary. I know you already know this. The Revelations passage is very telling and I wonder how many see the connection.

So true! I just watched "The Nativity" movie last Sunday evening. The most heart rendering part is when they show Harod's soldiers raiding Bethlehem and killing all the children under 2. I can't help thinking of how I would feel if these were my children or grandchildren, both in Bethlehem or in Newtown, Connecticut. My heart goes out to families all over the world where Satan's followers have killed their little children.

In case I don't get back here before Christmas or even New Years, I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone of you will have a wonderful time with your family and friends.
I'm looking forward to another prosperous year, even if I never sell anything (LOL), I'm I feel prosperous just knowing you and I'm grateful for my association with you.
Thank you all for being my good friends and I do consider you some of my best friends.
Paul

Merry Christmas! Ours will be a little low key this year. We have my wife's Father with us and he is limited in his abilities. But we have local family to celebrate with. Then we'll be off to Kentucky after the new year to see our daughter's family. Mark Twain once said that if the world ever comes to an end he hopes that he's in Kentucky, because everything in Kentucky happens twenty years later than the rest of the world. ;-)
I keep the columns rolling but not much else. I do have a rough draft of the science and religion book. I plan to take it to Kentucky and spend some time editing and rewriting. I'm also hard at work on two new CD's. One is my first cover CD where I sing other peoples songs, but the other is a new theme project that I am sure will take the better part of a year.
Hope all are experiencing the Joy of Christmas, and the Gospel.

Thought I would wish all a Happy New Year. We are leaving town tomorrow to take my wife's father back to Utah, and then we are driving to Kentucky to see our daughter. We won't be home until around Jan. 12, so I won't be checking in again until after that. Hope all are well, happy, and productive. I am three columns ahead and I'm taking my rough draft science book with me to proof read.

I can't wait to see your science book. Good luck with it. See you when you get back from Kentucky.
As for everyone else. It's the beginning of a new year and I hope we all get our writing and publishing goals achieved.

Crazy life! Want to hear our story? Took Dad to Utah, came home same day. Left the next day to drive to Kentucky. Arrived KY after driving 24 hours straight. Spent the day and evening recuperating with daughter who was pregnant but on bed rest. She is 40 yrs. old and her youngest is thirteen. The next day we we had Christmas with them. That night she went to the hospital and lost the baby. We also got a phone that Dad had gotten the flu and maybe we should come home. Left and drove home. To old to do another 24 hour stint, so took two days. While on the road, got word that Dad died. Arrived home to make funeral plans and transportation plans from Utah back, since he will be buried here. Drove to Utah for a memorial service there, then drove home the same day to beat a major storm. Family arriving from everywhere today. Funeral here tomorrow. Daughter from KY, son from Boise here for the next couple of days. My wife is executor so next week is business for the estate. I haven't written a word in days.
But Dad is finally reunited with his wife and his suffering is over. The Gospel is true and and I have to go shovel the walks because it snowed last night. Ahhhh. The writing life.

Guys, this post on faith and courage is really fascinating! Of course slaughtered origami cranes and dirt clod wars add to the drama of the discussion. In truth, though, this could be turned into someone's blog... As if you don't have enough writing to do, right? And Sachiko, I didn't know you are nesting again!!! Since I don't see any recent posts from you I hope things are going well for you and your family. As for targeting children, those thoughts are very powerful, too and it is so sad to see. A while back, I wrote a blog about the enmity God placed between Satan and the woman and her seed. I truly love and respect the Priesthood and all you guys do. It isn't easy but it is so important. If anyone is interested in an old blog, they can read it here myldsthoughts.blogspot.com/b/post-preview?token=3yIKqDwBAAA.lc44DqcwtHrTX_li_3-IHA.7FLID98LNBL_tHJsjimOig&postId=2352322630366565570&type=POST
